[mythtv-users] MythTV HDTV Problems...

Well... it's a Samsung TX-S2782H ... I've been trying to reason out the
1080i modeline for this thing... there's one big problem I'm running up
against... when I do a "get-edid" ... part of the output is this:

Monitor and video card combination does not support DDC1 transfers
Monitor and video card combination does not support DDC2 transfers
0 seconds per 128 byte EDID block transfer
Screen is not blanked during DDC transfer

for some reason... it can't read DDC info via the DVI -> HDMI cable?...

So... the Xorg automagically detects the resolution at "800x600" ... and in
the Appearance menu... which is impossible to read (so I used my 17" CRT to
configure it...) ... I told it to use a different resolution (640x480) for
the UI...

One thing that might be the problem is... I'm using KDE... and when KDE
first fires up... the login screen and desktop are way too big too... so not
sure if this is a problem with KDE, MythTV... or nVidia overscan...

Thoughts?
