[mythtv-users] Question on configuring rlimits

http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-5.html says this:
<snip>
Assuming anyone running mythfrontend is in the audio group and rlimits
are supported, all you need to do is place this in your
/etc/security/limits.conf

    *               -       rtprio     0
    *               -       nice       0
    @audio          -       rtprio     50
    @audio          -       nice       0
</snip>

When I log on as mythtv and run the groups command I get this:
$ groups
mythtv users

I have 2 questions:

1) Am I right to assume that I can just replace @audio in the example
above with @mythtv?

2) Is there some sort of check I can do to make sure this worked and
that the frontend is running with realtime scheduling of the video
output thread?

Regards,
Phill
