Patches are always welcomed and considered by the dev team as long as
it doesn't make MythTV unnecessarily bloated, provides useful
functionality for more than just a very small portion of users and
doesn't interfere with existing functionality that we have all come
to love.

I re-read his response and didn't think it was rude at all. some
people might consider top-posting as rude. ;) Mythtv is Isaac's
project and has repeatedly stated that LiveTV is working the way he
likes it to work and people should launch other software if they
don't want to buffer LiveTV to disk.
