Incidentally, an alternative to this (in case the original post is curious)
is to have the SBEs all mount a single NFS drive share, and have all the
recordings placed there. Of course, this basically requires you have at
least a 100 megabit switched network, and your NAS (presumably the master
backend) will probably need a decent sized case for later expansion (ie,
more disks), but it does mean that all of your storage is in one, convenient
location.
However, I *think* the recordings are still streams from the individual
slave BEs. Though that's just a guess on my part... someone can correct me
if I'm wrong. :)
