I di try single pass xvid but it did not look as good. With multipass I
did not see and artifects but with single pass I did.

Maybe single pass and --transcode is the answer, will give it a go.
Does transcode take around the same time.
Have been having problems with some shows. Sometimes it sats it does
not recognise the stream type, sometimes it seems to work but creates
very small files and sometimes it just dies.
On another point it would be cool to be able to say how many files to do
at the same time. Ime thinking of getting a dual core AMD and this
would be great.
Hopefully I will be able to try this next week but my brain will be a
bit fried as I am currently doing Cobol at work! The really scary thing
is some sick minded individual has developed OO Cobol!
