I use the IR blaster that comes with the Hauppauge PVR150 to control  
my set top box. I was unable to find any information on using the  
data port so I could skip the blaster.

I get my guide data off of Zap2it; it has an option for my zip code  
to include Verizon FIOS TV listings. If you are using Zap2it but  
aren't seeing this, contact me off-list and I will give you my zip  
code so you can try using it.
