Oh no doubt on the DLP. See this is my dilema now (didn't know this when i
first posted), my LG DLP which i purchased 2/05 has been in the shop 5 times
and is broken again. LG is allowing me to exchange it through BestBuy (who
i bought it with), now I have to wait 5 business days for BB to contact me,
but looking at best buy's website and LG's website, it appears that LG does
not make DLP's anymore (LCD and Plasma only with directview now? dont' know
what that is). So i've read alot yesterday on AVS, which BTW not too
thrilled with the website, and Is it true plasma is really fragile? I have
kids, but i hear LCD's have ghosting issues because of refresh rates. So
hard to figure this all out, just don't want to make a bad decision. Don't
get me wrong, i liked the DLP, if i had known it was gonna be this
troublesome i wouldn't have bought one, i just believe i had a bad lemon,
because me and my brother in-law both bought DLP's at the same time and he's
had no problems what so ever.
now go to avsforum and read/post.
