Never mind on all of questions. Have gotten it to work. Here's what was
done after getting the system bttv drivers loaded through modprobe. I'm
using kernel 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5.
The settings in mythtv-setup->
General:
Type: ATSC
Capture Card Setup
Card type: DVB DTV capture card (v3.x)
DVB Card Number: 0
(this needs to be detected rather than entered)
Frontend ID: DViCO v2 or Air2PC v3 or pcHDTV HD-5500 Subtype ...
Analog Options
Video device: /dev/video
(this needs to be detected rather than entered)
Probed info: BT878 video (DViCO FusionHDTV 5 [bttv])
VBI device: /dev/vbi
Audio device: /dev/dsp
Audio sampling rate: (None) (unchecked) Do not adjust volume
Default input: Television
Input connections:
[DVB]:0] (DVBInput) -> Digital
->[V4L:/dev/video0](Television)-> Analog
->[V4L:/dev/video0](Composite1)-> (None)
->[V4L:/dev/video0](S-Video)-> (None)
Channel setup was a mishmash of working in the database and each of the
channel scan selections other than the channels.conf.
And the key to finally get it to work on the slave backend is to open up
the appropriate ports in iptables.
Hope this helps someone getting their Fusion working.
Bruce
