Since your TV supports VGA, then go VGA from the MythTV box to VGA on
your TV. VGA and DVI are, by design, already progressive scanning and
high resolution, so you'll get all of what you can out of that set. :)
Question #4 isn't really relevant if you go VGA->VGA. :) Just set that
resolution to 1900x1200 (I think that's right) and you're all set.
The GeForce cards are definitely popular for MythTV installs, but I
wouldn't say it is a requirement. :) So long as the card can push
1900x1200 (my 256MB GeForce 6200 pushes that with no problems).
