Basically, the hardware doesn't support recording from a digital input,
so you would have to record video and analog audio into an MPEG with the
PVR-x50 and record AC-3 some other way. Then, you would have to mux the
AC-3 stream into the existing MPEG file--while maintaining sync.
This is exactly why the first responder said the problem is maintaining
sync.
