Don't forget about the ROKU HD1000. Runs linux, someone made a 
slimmed-down myth frontend (mythroku) and it works pretty well. 
It's not a full-fleged frontend, but plays recorded and liveTV. It's
completely silent, no HDD or fans, and is very small. It plays HD 
content perfectly. It can be had for less than $300, and half that 
used.
