Hi
I am new to Linux and MythTV, and I have some problems with sound in
MythTV. I will try my best to explain my problem. I have been searching
the Internet for MythTV, alsa, no sound etc., but I cant find any
solution to my problem. I am sure it is easy if you know what you are
doing. I am having big trouble to understand how everything with sound
is working so please be patient.

I will start with some information from my system. I dont know what is
relevant so I will make a guess.

After I did all this I launched TVTime and tried. Everything was working
perfectly. I could watch TV on my computer with sound and everything :)

Then I tried to start with MythTV. Everything was working here also
except for the sound was missing when I was watching LiveTV :( I will
try to explain what I have tried and what the result is.

I think I have tried many other settings also but I haven't managed to
get sound output yet.

Also I get these messages, and I don't know what it means.
[mythtv at localhost ~]$ dmesg | grep OSS
application mythbackend uses obsolete OSS audio interface
application mythfrontend uses obsolete OSS audio interface
application mythbackend uses obsolete OSS audio interface
application mythfrontend uses obsolete OSS audio interface
application mythbackend uses obsolete OSS audio interface
application mythfrontend uses obsolete OSS audio interface
application mythbackend uses obsolete OSS audio interface

I would appreciate it I someone could help me with this because I don't
know how to fix it.
