It's a 733MHz PIII, 256MB RAM, and the video is the on-board Intel
i815. Only attempting SD :-)

While watching video, there is no swapping or other disk activity,
so memory doesn't seem to be an issue. CPU usage is dominated by:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
 2079 mythtv 15 0 284m 133m 30m S 66.4 53.6 6:00.31 mythfrontend
 1971 root 15 0 114m 46m 21m S 6.9 18.6 0:39.92 X

Xorg.0.log says, inter-alia

(II) Loading extension XVideo-MotionCompensation
 and
(**) I810(0): 7 XvMC Surfaces Requested.

but mythfrontend says this with -v playback:

2006-05-12 21:56:37.600 VideoOutputXv Error: XvMC output requested, but is not supported by display.
Xlib: extension "XVideo-MotionCompensation" missing on display ":0.0".

Of course. The overall experience is not too bad, but on fast moving
program content (e.g. sport) there is definitely a jerkiness to the
display that was not apparent on my other frontend (Athlon XP2400 without XvMC)
