[mythtv-users] nvidia woes with Fedora 4

I am sure you will get the straight dope from the gurus, but in the mean time, here is what i experienced.
 
FC4 
evga MX4000
PVR-150NEC LCD on vga
Mitsu big screen off of s-vid
 
 
 
yum drivers gave me crap on the big screen.   I set my xorg.conf parameter to 'nvidia' from 'nv', and x would crash on boot.  i had to compile the 6767 drivers 'ye olde fashioned waye', then the 'nvidia' parameter stuck, and i was able to send a good signal to the big screen.
