I use the ATI Remote Wonder (an RF remote), but I don't know if I'd 
recommend it... It's not bad, but there are probably better ones (even 
discounting the ATI Remote Wonder II).

If you use LIRC, you don't have to program the remote; you program LIRC 
to associate Myth controls with whatever the remote sends. So, with 
LIRC, every remote is "universal".
