I've got a 1800 XP athlon ina  Nforce3 shuttle with an old Phillips Nova-t grabbing data from Radiotimes.  I'm recording fine, I'm watching live TV fine.  Setup was quite easy and setting up the channels was the trickiest part, but I found guides for the UK DVB channels steered me fine.  It did take a while to find a lirc page for the MCE Rc6 Phillips remote I'm using, but someone had the same problems as me and solved them!
 
The only issues I'm having is nuvexport for AVI's and mythburn.  I'll dig out the links to the guides if you want them, but the main one is of course Jarods Fedora Mythtv guide.
