Hmmmm. The program's slowing down would seem to suggest you have low
program pressure. Of course this depends on the viscosity of your
particular provider. You might try running your cable so that at least
the last meter or so is angled down towards your input -- let gravity
help you out.

I find that the most common symptoms of high pressure are TV
personalities appearing skinnier and taller than they are in real
life, as well as audiences finding things funnier than they really
are. YMMV.
