It worked for me quite nice for adding a few channels mythtv refuses to 
add to the channel list. Here is what i did:

- dvbscan -n /usr/share/dvb/scan/dvb-c/de-iesy > new_channel.conf.
- deleted all unwanted channels
- imported the file into mythtv
