That's how we used to do it (back before I guess
0.17).  Then Zap2It (who we were getting the data
from) would break it every now and then, and the XMLTV
team would fix it, etc., etc.

Zap2It then came to realize that it was pointless in
trying to stop us from using the listings this way,
and they graciously started the DataDirect program. 
The advantages are numerous - more information,
shorter download time, the protocol doesn't change,
etc.

I think that the agreement we have with Zap2It is
pretty darned good actually - I'm just using the
listings for personal use, and I don't mind the
surveys at all.

I'd rather not see anybody screw up the relationship
that we have with Zap2It - even though they're not
very responsive on lineup issues (at least not for me
anyway), they're the only source of data for many of
my channels (some of the ATSC ones have EIT, but not
many it seems).  And most importantly, they're going
out of their way to help us out (because it helps out
both sides - we save time, they save bandwidth).
