Asus A8V Deluxe.

AGP 8X, 5 PCI slots, socket 939 - works with an X2 with an updated
BIOS. Uses the Via K8T800 Pro chipset. Onboard is 2xPATA channels (for
4 devices), 2xSATA from the via chipset, and 1xPATA + 2xSATA from a
Promise chip. Has firewire (2), USB 2.0 (8), realtek audio chip
(including S/PDIF both optical and coax out.)

From my memory of this thread, the only thing missing is a second
ethernet controller (only has 1 on board).

Everything on the motherboard is supported under linux (I'm using an
older revision of the same board right now under linux.)

Oh, the via southbridge uses a passive heatsink - no excess fans on the
board. CPU fan and a chassis fan are pwm controllable (lm_sensors) for
keeping things quiet.

It's not the best board out there by far, but it's a decent choice for
AGP with socket 939.

Take care
Gary
