(Please forgive the possible re-post, I am having some troube with my email
server)

I am trying to use XvMC with the i8xx chipset on Slackware 10.2.

I was able to compile MythTV w/ XvMC

./configure --disable-distcc --enable-xvmc
<snip>
# Video Output Support
x11 support      yes
xrandr support   yes
xv support       yes
XvMC support     yes
XvMC VLD support no
XvMC pro support no
XvMC libs        -lI810XvMC
OpenGL vsync     no
DirectFB         no
<snip>

MythTV compiles with out issue.......

When X starts everything looks good. (as far as I can see)

/var/log/Xorg.0.log:
<snip>
(II) Loading extension XVideo
(II) Loading extension XVideo-MotionCompensation
<snip>
(**) I810(0): Option "XvMCSurfaces" "7"
<snip>
(**) I810(0): 7 XvMC Surfaces Requested.
<snip>

But when I try to playback video I see the following in the frontend log

<snip>
2006-03-29 17:49:00.049 VideoOutputXv Error: XvMC output requested, but is not
supported by display.
Xlib: extension "XVideo-MotionCompensation" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "XVideo-MotionCompensation" missing on display ":0.0".
<snip>

I have done a considerable amount of reading, but turned up nothing.
If I need to include more complete logs, please let me know.

Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated. ---
