[mythtv-users] upgrade a fc4 backend and xbox frontend to 0.19

I am ready to take the plunge... but I am kind of dumb.

How do I upgrade my Myth 0.18 to Myth 0.19 without breaking everything
(which would make me very very sad)?

Here are my current ideas:

For FC4

yum upgrade mythtv-suite

For XBOX

no idea... (apt-get upgrade something?) don't know much about debian (xebian)

Thanks in advance and apologies for the questions which I am sure have
been asked 1000 times (yet which I have had very little luck in
finding!!)
