Why ? Does it seem a bit clumsy to you :-))

I seem to recall having read something about another more automated  
method a while back but I don't recall what it was or where I read  
it, sorry that's not much help.

I've just got so used to the "clumsy" method that I don't think about  
it anymore, I just do it automatically when I add videos, which is  
not often.
