Im just setting up MythTV, and Im having a couple of problems.
I have two HD5000 cards and an old Air2PC card.

(1) an OLD document I have (Mythtv and Air2PC ATSC card on Fedora Core 3)
suggests making device nodes as

[mythtv at mythtv adapter0]$ ls -lai /dev/dvb/adapter0
    total 0
    1746 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 200 Mar 18 15:56 .
    1744 drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 100 Mar 20 23:41 ..
    1753 crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 212, 1 Mar 18 15:55 audio
    1749 crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 212, 6 Mar 18 15:55 ca0
    1750 crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 212, 4 Mar 18 15:55 demux0
    1748 crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 212, 5 Mar 18 15:55 dvr0
    1747 crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 212, 3 Mar 18 15:55 frontend0
    1752 crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 212, 7 Mar 18 15:56 net0
    1751 crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 212, 8 Mar 18 15:56 osd0
    1754 crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 212, 0 Mar 18 15:56 video

Is this correct?

And if so, what should the 'offset' be for the 2nd board, viz what should
/dev/dvb/adapter1/video read: (212,16), (212,32), (212,64), (212,128) ???
I guess I could figure this out if it wasnt for the 2nd problem.

I can run azap, and scan, and both return good data.
However, if I try

    cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/video > /dev/null

I get the "no such device" message.

(2) Im not sure WHAT that means, knowing that azap and scan seem
to work. Normally I would assume that some module was not loaded when
I get that message, but since azap/scan work that doesnt seem to be the
case.

---

So what do I do next?
I seem to be at a deadend.
