[mythtv-users] Failure loading firmware on reboot - Please help

After spending 4 hours on reinstalling the OS and Myth, still hit the  
same problem. This time I noted down the message that shows up on the  
screen before its lost. The 2 lines were:

ivtv-osd:ivtv_fb_card parameter is out of range valid range (0--1)
insmod: error inserting /lib/ivtv-fb.ko, -1 operation not permitted

Any help will be of great help.
I don't know much about linux and I am thinking of giving up at this  
point and just go with a commercial solution:-(
