[mythtv-users] IR transmitter testing

In my searching for info on IR blasters I came across several  
incredibly convoluted methods of testing IR emitters.

MCM Electronics sells for $2US a piece of laminated cardboard that  
has a chemically sensitive section that glows when hit with IR  
radiation. Part # 72-003.

Not just for Myth, but for testing any remote to see if it needs  
batteries etc.

Just in case anybody's interested, it's sure a lot easier than some  
of the tests I saw :-)
