[mythtv-users] Myth Frontend on Fedora doesn't start, could it be cdrecord?

I'd suggest uninstalling cdrecord and see if this cures the problem.
If not, turn on udev logging to see where udev is having problems
during boot, and check your mythbackend and mythfrontend logs to see
if there are any log entries as to why the frontend is hanging.

There is an option in the frontend's setup to enable CD recording, so
I'd make sure this is disabled if you are able to get into
mythfrontend.
