Good point, although perhaps not as "clean", it is probably easier to  
implement for a lot of folks. It would also survive if something  
"updates" your udev files.

This assumes your particular distribution inits in that way. For  
Gentoo, as another example, the commands would go into /etc/conf.d/ 
local.start.
