I'll be capturing S-Video from a DirecTV receiver. That's about as good as
I can get to feed it. We'll see about the quality. When I rip a DVD, I'll
use MPEG2.
The Plextor is capable of MPEG2, it's just the Linux driver that won't
allow for it. If there's one thing I've learned from lurking in Linux
groups is that there are a lot of really inventive people out there.
