When you compiled LIRC, you specified the port to use with the serial 
driver.  Therefore, you have to use the irsend that was created to talk 
to the lirc_serial driver.  If you're using a system with multiple LIRC 
installations (i.e. "lirc" and "ledxmit"), you need to make sure you use 
the "irsend" program from the one that's set up to transmit (i.e. 
/usr/local/ledxmit/bin/irsend).
