I use a Dell M50 - not an FX, but it works with Myth fairly well as a
frontend (the quadro is a good option for XvMC). My wife has a Dell M60
- which has a Quadro FX 700, I haven't tried this with myth. Ahhh... I
just noticed you mention having a DVI out? I guess only the newest
laptops have this.... But, by crippled are you refering to the
limitations of the newer FX chips? Dell is the main maker of Quadro
based laptops and the M70 doesn't have DVI that I know?.... BTW: when
you request a Quadro I assume this is because of the judder going away
in XvMC - I mentioned the `Option "XvmcUsesTextues" "true"` option
(placed in xorg.conf) on the list a while back which someone confirmed
removes this issue on non-Quadros, you may be more likely to pick up a
non-Quadro with DVI as there a more to choose from. Maybe you're
thinking of something completely different though......
