Brian,

Have you got your Soundblaster line-in set to Mute and Record in mixer
settings (as per Jarod's FC4 guide
http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php#capture). This crops up from
time to time, xawtv also seems to get sound working without further
tweakage, but this should get you sorted.
