the only file that contains *env* in my /etc/apache2/ [please note
that I use apache2 on debian sid] is /etc/apache/envvars. this is the
content:

#
# envvars-std - default environment variables for apachectl
#
# This file is generated from envvars-std.in

if I try with apt-cache apache2 env, I get:
digimatrix:/etc/apache2# apt-cache search apache env
apache2-prefork-dev - development headers for apache2
bricolage - Virtual Package to install full Bricolage CMS
emacs-goodies-el - Miscellaneous add-ons for Emacs
libapache-db-perl - Run the interactive Perl debugger under mod_perl
libapache-mod-chroot - run Apache in a secure chroot environment
libapache-mod-lisp - An Apache module that interfaces with Lisp environments
libapache-reload-perl - Reload changed modules in a mod_perl environment
libapache2-mod-chroot - run Apache in a secure chroot environment
libapache2-webauth - Apache 2 modules for WebAuth authentication
libcommons-discovery-java - locates classes that implement a given
Java interface
mod-chroot-common - run Apache in a secure chroot environment

honestly I have no idea how to solve this...
