My DVD player (One of these days I'll use MythTV for DVD, honest!)
had a bright blue power/activity LED. I couldn't really tape it off
since it was right next to the IR receiver, so I desoldered it from
the PCB and replaced it with a red one. Best 50 cents I've spent in
a while...
