[mythtv-users] Why does going to live TV take so long?

Would the slow-down be caused by mythtv trying to free up spaces for
live-tv?  doesn't some file system has better "delete" speed than the
other, thus some people does not encounter this problem while others do?
just my guess but I've yet upgrade to 0.19 yet.
