It wasn't a "wish list", it was posts from the guy who wrote Myth (Isaac)
and another one of the developers (me) saying what patches would probably
be accepted into SVN if someone else wanted to write them.

This is already the case, LiveTV splits shows up according to the guide
data present in the database. We're talking about splitting up long
'shows' even further (ie, Isaac's 6-hour limit and my proposed 30-minute
or shorter limit if we're low on free disk space).

Ahh, that's why you don't know how it does LiveTV already. :)
