[mythtv-users] Noisy DVD Player - Any "slowdown software" available?

Hello,

The DVD player (NEC ND-3550) in my HTPC is a bit noisy, which makes it a
pain in the ass to watch DVD:s without ripping them first. I know that
there are several softwares for Windows that will slow down the disc to
get rid of the sound. No need to spin the disc faster than data is
accessed, right?

So, do you guys know of any good solution to fix this within Linux?
