This patch only seems to wait for IDE drive DMA, it does nothing for
any other DMA devices, like for instance, a PVR500 board that might be
streaming video over DMA.

Did you (Rod) have any stability issues at all since using this patch?
Or is the low-bandwidth video not enough to trigger the bug?
