Are you using MySQL 5?  This is a known issue 
(http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/changeset/9266) and was recently fixed in 
the 0.19-fixes branch of the code.  If you are using a binary package 
you need to wait for them to update with this fix, otherwise you can 
download the updated release and compile it yourself.
