Hi all,
As an Australian user, I am somewhat stuck with some of our networks
broadcasting 540P and calling it "high definition". The resolution is of
little interest to me, but I want the Dolby Digital broadcast in the
stream!
My problem is that my Myth front end doen't seem to like it.
On 1080i things work perfectly - smooth and sharp image; no major
glitches. On those stations with a 540p broadcast, it runs in slow
motion. Audio is fine, video plays like it's playing at half the frame
rate. It's almost like Myth is attempting to compensate for my interlaced
resolution I am outputting to my television.
There was a time that these stations performed perfectly but certainly in
0.18.1 and 0.19 it works as described above. I note that it was raised by
a couple of people around the time of the big dvb patch here:

but I can't seem to see any resolution (no pun intended).
I'm running a split front and backend system on 0.19. My front end
outputs via an NVIDIA 6600GT, a customised 1080i modeline @ PAL timings
(not sure if this matters, but thought I should mention it), I run FC4 and
am up-to-date with packages.
Does anyone else have problems with 576P broadcasts, or can anyone suggest
where to start debugging?
TIA,
Matt.
