/tmp is the default value for the MythArchiveTempDir setting if it 
hasn't been changed. If you go back to the settings page what value is 
shown for the 'Myth Archive Temp Directory setting?

MythArchive doesn't use the mtd. The only link I can think of is they 
both use the DVD drive? Was both mtd and mytharchive both running at the 
same time trying to access the DVD drive?
