Since Myth is just calling mplayer in your example, the problem really 
lies with mplayer and how languages are selected.   Figure out the right 
command-line for mplayer to always play the DVD properly in the right 
language and then give that to Myth.  Myth really has no function in 
this configuration other than to run the command-line you specify.
