having another odd error with MythArchive...

I've double checked that I have all the dependancies installed,
updated to latest SVN,
running SUSE 10

I changed the "Directory to hold temporary files:" to

/myth/DVDburn

but every time I try to rip a DVD I a couple of happenings,

1. /tmp/work fills up with the files that should go to the DVD, but it fills up to the limit of the drive (it's my OS drive, a 12 gig partion w/ 5 gig used). I'm only trying to burn 2 episodes to the DVD (3.5 gig inside of Myth). /myth/DVDburn remains empty...

2. I get some errors in mtd:
linux:/home/mythic # mtd
