[mythtv-users] Database Dead - Ouch!

Help!

After a power outage, my mythtv box (combined frontend/backend) rebooted 
and all seemed well.  I could play existing recently recorded shows 
without issue.

Then I tried to connect via mythweb and nothing happened - just hung.  I 
then tried to run a mysqldump to backup the database and it hung.  Next 
I tried running a mysqlcheck and its hung right after 
'mythconverg.profilegroups' and pegging mysqld for quite some time.

So - I'm here asking what can I do ?!  I don't have a recent backup of 
the database to restore from (stupid, I know).  I'm thinking I might 
need to re-do the database, but I don't want to lose the tons of info I 
have on all my recordings/vidoes/music.

Is there any suggestions on how to possibly fix the database?  If not, 
is there any way to have Myth re-create the database with at least some 
of the info?
