[mythtv-users] Reset to defaults for recording profiles?

Is there any way to reset all of the MythTV settings to their defaults? 
  I've been getting corrupted recordings recently, and I'm trying to 
track it down.  It could be faulty hardware, bad ivtv settings, bad 
video capture card settings (mythtvsetup), or bad recording settings 
(recording profiles).

So, in order to rule out the last 2, I'd like to reset all TV-recording 
related settings and video capture card settings to their defaults.  I 
can do the cap card through mythtvsetup (just delete and re-add, right?) 
but I'm not sure about the recording profile settings.

Anyone have any thoughts?
