After further review it seems that tcrequant is working just fine; the
problem is that the script can't count :-) Before requant the 8 videos
are 2.2 GB for a total of 17.6GB, not the 9.708 reported before the
tcrequant operation. After the tcrequant process the video files are
indeed 2.655223 times smaller, making them each ~840MB for a total of
~6.6GB. So, it looks like I really needed to work tcrequant harder,
somewhere in the neighborhood of 3.9 instead of 2.6. The video isn't the
best after that, but as it's Sesame Street for my 18 month old I'm not
concerned about fabulous quality. In any case, with 2 wins so far it
looks like you'll be celebrating a lot!
