[mythtv-users] Guidance rebuilding lirc RPMs

I'm trying to patch LIRC so that it will work with my remote  
(imon_pad that came with my Silverstone LC16m). I wanted to stick  
with RPMs, so I downloaded Axel's spec file and his source RPM and  
have been able to apply the patch. But rpmbuild complains about the  
kmdl statements in the spec file and builds nothing.

Any help is appreciated.
