Why not build your own computer? I plan to, once I have the money.  
Just go to a site like NewEgg or TigerDirect, and look at parts. You  
could go with a Bare Bones Kit, examining to make sure they have the  
right combination of RAM type, chipset, and CPU type support you  
want, or buy the motherboard, case, and CPU separately.

You'd need to buy a PSU, CPU, RAM, Hard Disk, and RAM. You can  
probably salvage your optical drive from your old computer, maybe  
even your video card (or, if you get a system with an integrated  
video solution, which you probably don't want, not need to purchase a  
video card at all). More than likely, your keyboard, monitor, mouse,  
and speakers all work. Shouldn't be too hard, it's not like these  
plugs will fit where they don't belong.
