[mythtv-users] Any ideas how to make my hard drive shut up?

Sorry for the double post to correct my last one. The last line should
have been I can barely "hear" my hard drive, not "heat" it...
The second part is, in your hdparm -i it doesn't say anything about
acoustic management, ACM. The AdvancedPM=yes line actually refers to
power management, like idle spindown, etc, you would have with a laptop
drive typically, not ACM. Nonetheless, all Maxtor drives support ACM
(according to their website, manufactured since something like 2000).
