[mythtv-users] MythAutomation: How might it look?

Wow, never knew it was that easy.
Ok, so now I suspect I either need to go learn how to build a basic module
for myth (the gui) or see if anyone has one that can be cloned into a
MythAutomation plug-in that would permit folks to start hacking at :)
At first I think having those that work with LIRC and command line
interfaces throw up what they have done.
I am willing to start building the canvas. Toward the end of June I have a
4 day weekend without the wife & kids, where I could stop and polish
things up for what I use X-10 for and how it might look in a Myth Module.
My first thought is some sort of sceduling interface.. maybe lit the
program guide grid morphed into a timeline for various modules.
I am not sure how well the seperate modules interact, if you could have
inter module event signaling such that when a tuner is recording, an X-10
event could be triggered. (To do what I have no idea, but I am not sure
the basics are there)
So I am thinging that other than the LIRC mappings, a MythAutomation
module would be like MythPhone, nearly a desireable stand-alone unit.
I'd like to see it get it's own focus window such that LIRC could have a
template of keys while in that module.
For those with the serial/usb ActiveHome controller, perhaps a logic
toolset to construct macros? I can see that working with a TV Remote.
Keep in mind, I have ideas but no programming experience. Anyone know a
programmer? :)
Nick
PS: Thanks for the Fish, and I think I'll stick around. ;)
